Wayru is a Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) committed to democratizing internet access through a global, blockchain-powered WiFi network. You have two paths to bring a hotspot online:
1. Plug‑and‑Play Miner
Purchase a ready‑to‑deploy Wayru Miner directly from the Wayru Shop.
No technical setup required — plug it in, register, and start contributing to the network immediately.
2. Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
Transform compatible hardware into a Wayru Hotspot using one of the following methods:
WayruOS Flashing – install our firmware on Supported Devices.
Passpoint Credentials – configure seamless, secure WiFi access.
Captive Portal Configuration – set up branded access pages for your users.
Other Wayru Protocols – additional supported standards to onboard diverse devices.

**###wUBI (Wayru Uptime Based Income)**
wUBI rewards are based on hotspot uptime and service quality. To be eligible, operators must deposit 5,000 $WAYRU tokens, locked for 30 days. Rewards are determined by meeting the following criteria:
* Heartbeats: Hourly signals confirming hotspot operation.
* Radio Uptime: Continuous broadcasting of Wayru WiFi SSIDs.
* Latency: Maintaining latency below 50ms.
* Minimum Usage: At least three daily user connections, increasing annually.
**###wUPI (Wayru Usage & Performance Incentive)**
wUPI rewards are based on data usage, categorized as:
* Premium Data: Purchased by telcos; 1 GB equals 1 point.
* Freemium Data: Accessed via the Wayru app; 100 GB equals 1 point.
* Unsettled Data: OpenRoaming or similar; 1,000 GB equals 1 point.

Wayru employs a multipliers system to incentivize strategic deployments and optimal performance. Factors influencing multipliers include:
* Boosted Location: Deploying in high-demand areas.
* Device Type: Using advanced hardware.
